IntroductionIntroduction

One of STIDC´s aspiration is to produce skilled and knowledgable human resource in the wood-based sector in the aspects of processing related activities, timber trade and factory management.

In line with its aspirations the corporation has designed various traning programmes to serve the public, particularly the timber-based industry.

In line with the corporate´s vision & mission, and the national Vision 2020, STIDC is responsible for the development of disciplined, skilled and capable human resources. STIDC is committed to the timber industry and human resources development, which aims to provide and conduct training to upgrade their knowledge and skills for the benefit of this sector. This is to ensure that the industry stays competitive in producing quality products in the global market.


TRAINING GOAL

"To provide and coordinate timber related training courses to the timber industry and interested individual and achieve 80% of the scheduled Training Programmes"


TRAINING OBJECTIVES

  • To retrain the wood-based industry´s employee on related technical aspects.
  • To produce technically skilled workers to meet the demand of the timber industries.
  • To upgrade the skills of the current workers in accordance with the required Quality Standard.


TRAINING METHODOLOGY

Training approach is based on "hand-on" activities. including 80% practical and 20% theory. The medium of instruction are Bahasa Melayu and English.


AWARDING OF CERTIFICATE

"Certificate of Competency" will be awarded to the participants who have successfully completed the Competency Based Training and passed the necessary examination. Besides, "Certificate of Attendance" will be also awarded to the participants upon completion of the Short Technical Courses.


VENUE

All courses will be conducted at STIDC Training Centre, Tanjung Manis New Township (PLPPTM), Mukah or other relevant venue.
