HOW TO REGISTER

First time applicants must fill in the Registration Application Form (free download), obtainable from any STIDC offices in Sarawak.

However, applications can also be made through writing (letter) should applicants wish to separately apply for:
1. Renewal of mill
2. Additional activity / product / branch
3. Cancellation of activity / product / branch
4. Replacement of registration certificate
5. Change of particular including change of company profile (address, company name, ownership of company/ mill, etc.)
       

BASIC DOCUMENTATIONS

Applicants are required to submit the followings:
1. Duly completed STIDC Registration Application Form (FREE), stamped and signed by an authorized signatory.
2. Registration Fee payable to ‘STIDC’ via crossed cheque, postal order or money order or bank draft.
3. Valid Trade License (Timber Related Business Activity)
4. i) For Sole-Proprietorship or Partnership Business
    - Certificate of Registration of Business
    - Extract of Registration of Business Names
    or
  ii) For Private Limited (Sdn. Bhd.) or Public (Bhd) Companies
    - Certificate of Incorporation of Private/Public Companies
    - Form 24 - Return of Allotment of shares
    - Form 49 - Return of Giving Particulars in Register of Directors, Managers and Secretaries and Changes of Particulars.
   

OTHER SUPPORTING DOCUMENTS (IF APPLICABLE):

Mill Registration/ Manufacturing
1. Industrial Coordination Committee (ICC) Approval for small/medium scale Manufacturing, or, Industrial Coordination Act (ICA) Approval for large scale Manufacturing, and
2. Land Title (for new mill)
3. Sawmill license from Forestry Department for Sawn Timber Manufacturer
       
Export and Local Sale of Logs
1. Forest Timber License for forest area licensee, or
2. Sales and Purchase Agreement (Log) , or
3. Logging Contract for Logging Contractors, or
4. Supporting Letter from Log Supplier.
       
Import of Logs (for import of species not available in Malaysia)
1. Approval Letter from Ministry of Planning and Resource Management
       
Export and Import of Woodchip and Pulp
1. Exporter: To provide proof of supply of raw materials from registered manufacturer of woodchip who owned a Licensed Planted Forests (LPF)
2. Importer: To obtain prior approval from Ministry of Resource Planning and Environment, Sarawak.
       
Note: Approval of registration involving restricted activities/ products shall be in accordance with prevailing Ordinance and Regulations.
       

RELATED INFORMATION & PENALTY
