Procedure (STLVS)

1. Who should apply for STLVS Certificate of Compliance?

Any company engaged in the timber industry that is exporting their timber and timber product. For upstream, STLVS Certificate of Compliance for P1-P4 can be obtain from FDS. For downstream processing, STLVS Certificate of Compliance for P5-P6 can be obtain from STIDC.

2. Is the STLVS Compliance audit mandatory?

No, the third party audit is voluntary basis based on the market requirement for a due diligence process. Only after the you have passed the compliance audit then the STLVS Certificate of Compliance can be issued.

3. Is there any fees involved?

No fee is charged for the issuance of the STLVS Certificate of Compliance for P5 and P6. However, the audit cost shall be subjected to the respective appointed auditor.

4. Can I engage with any third party auditor?

No, only approved and registered third party auditor are allowed. The following are the auditor details. Take note that the list may change from time to time.
